The Leonkoro Quartet, founded in Berlin in 2019, combines youthful presence with chamber-musical maturity. Its name means “lionheart” in Esperanto and stands for courage, empathy, and cohesion. The four musicians actively seek exchange across schools and generations, work in residencies, cultivate mentor relationships, and develop new works. Warm communication and a spirit of experimentation shape an ensemble sound that treats tradition as a point of departure, not a boundary.
