The ensemble Los Pitutos brings together five classically trained musicians from Chile and Colombia who have found their musical home in Berlin. Álvaro Zambrano contributes his experience as an opera singer, Matías Piñeira is a principal horn player in Munich, Tomás Peralta composes and arranges, while Gonzalo Celis and Cristian Betancourt complete the ensemble. Together, they blend bolero and cumbia with influences from the 1970s and rich vocal harmonies to create a distinctive, warm sound. Los Pitutos’ music combines boleros, cumbias, and original songs with echoes of the 1970s. The evening moves between gentle bolero and driving cumbia, creating an open soundscape that invites listening, humming along, and dreaming
